Businesses connected to the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to participate in a survey because the Chamber continues its process for unveiling a latest medical health insurance opportunity for those members.
The survey is underway now through Aug. 18, and business owners are receiving information from the Emporia Chamber on find out how to participate. Chamber President and CEO Jeanine McKenna says medical health insurance costs can have a serious ripple effect on small busineses and their owners.
McKenna says having an association plan like Chamber Blue is significant since it lowers overall risk and offers more health options — potentially with rather more competitive pricing than if the companies had their very own separate plans. Eight options will likely be involved.
McKenna says Chamber Blue is a latest profit for Chamber members, but non-Chamber members can still research this feature this yr. Non-Chamber members would should join the Chamber in the event that they want to participate in Chamber Blue when it officially starts in January. Sign-up will happen from October to December after rates are set in September. Businesses can take part in Chamber Blue without going through the survey, but they should undergo the underwriting process in the event that they don’t do the survey.
