Linking a whole bunch and a whole bunch of Kansas corporations and their employees is the plan to capitalize on lowering healthcare costs.
Eric Brown President, CEO on the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce tells KSAL News that the Chamber Blue of Kansas partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas is a likelihood for small corporations to have access to solid medical health insurance for his or her staff.
Brown added that the Chamber Blue of Kansas program is a partnership with 45 other chambers of commerce across the state to create an association healthcare plan together with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas.
“For our Chamber, now we have lower than 10 individuals on our insurance but with this, we hope to have a whole bunch, if not 1000’s, in a single group that can allow us access to more long-term stability, higher insurance plan options, and potentially higher rates,” Brown said.
